Les O'Gorman is a 70 year old who lives in Logan, QLD, and has been a Telstra shareholder since T1.

If I were Telstra’s CEO I would...Fight like hell even if it means taking on the government, but particularly the Chairman of the ACCC. Force him to publicly apologise and then to resign.

If you asked me what I did, I'd say...Retired

I bought most of my Telstra shares in...T1

I bought Telstra shares because...I trusted Telstra as the biggest and most reliable service provider in Australia.

My first successful investment was...Macquarie Bank.

The best investment I ever made was...Managed growth funds.

What I learned from my worst investment decision...Find a good financial manager and stick by him.

The best investment advice I’ve ever been given...For security, stick with gilt edged stock.

How I use telecommunications now...Telephone by mobile and landline and the internet.

How I see the future of telecommunications in Australia...Without modern competitive telecommunications systems, we will sink internationally.
