Angela Winter is a 60+ year old who lives in Rockhampton, QLD, and has been a Telstra shareholder for over 9 years.

If I were Telstra’s CEO I would...I would do the best for Australia's shareholders and users and split the company into wholesale and services (which the Howard government should have done). I would then do my very best to earn services market share by providing top-of-the-line service. The service would be based on the equal wholesale price charged to ALL competitors - including the new Telstra Services company. As Telstra that is very well regarded, has expertise and is a 'local' should have no problems! Telstra would surely be able to offer the best deals to Australian customers.

If you asked me what I did, I'd say...Retired

I bought most of my Telstra shares in...T1

I bought Telstra shares because...I believed this was a company going places!

My first successful investment was...Jupiters.

The best investment I ever made was...Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

What I learned from my worst investment decision...Only buy one lot, don't bother about the 2nd offer.

The best investment advice I’ve ever been given...Only buy if you can afford to lose the price of the whole lot.

How I use telecommunications now...I use ADSL for my internet (most banking is online), and carry a mobile as a safety measure.

How I see the future of telecommunications in Australia...Mobile costs coming way down; VOIP calling common soon (I hope); fast broadband cost reducing by 50% within the next 3 years, and lots more competition between ISPs.
