If you’ve been staying awake at night wrestling with the big questions - who made the Next G™ top downloads list and who hasn't - then banish those sleepless nights forever more.

Australian mobile phone users think ringtone downloads are simply Fergilicious, with record numbers making Fergie’s 'Big Girls Don’t Cry’ the number one downloaded ringtone for 2007 on Telstra’s Next G™ network.

The most downloaded ringtones in 2007 were, in order:
1. Fergie – Big Girls Don’t Cry
2. Bob Sinclar – Rock This Party
3. Hinder – Lips of an Angel
4. Fedde Le Grand - Put Your Hands Up For Detroit

There has been unprecedented growth in the number of Telstra 3G customers downloading ringtones as well as other information services on Telstra’s BigPond Mobile portal (mobilefun.telstra.com).

Over the 12 months from November 2006 to November 2007 there has been an increase of over 250 per cent in the number of customers downloading ringtones on Telstra’s Next G™ network.

Much of this growth in data services is fuelled by new customers on Telstra’s Next G™ network, including many who have moved from CDMA and are using third generation mobile technology for the first time. While musical ringtones struck a chord with Next G™ mobile customers in 2007, so too did gaming downloads which ranked second in the list of most used services on Telstra’s Next G™ network.

For gaming enthusiasts, the 2007 download favourites were:
1. The perennial arcade favourite ‘Tetris’
2. Midnight Bowling
3. The Simpsons
4. The SIMS 2
