Telstra selects three services industry leaders
Telstra has steamlined the provision of fault repairs, installations, civil works and construction work on its access network.
Under the new arrangements Service Stream Limited, Visionstream and Silcar will consolidate Telstra's services business from over 100 contracts with 100 vendors to just three.
The agreements are for 2 years with a 2-year extension option which creates the potential to deliver up to $2.5 billion of work over the four years and are expected to yield a saving of approximately $140 million over the initial term.
The three new partners are leaders in their field and working with Telstra will be able to standardise customer experience nationally and significantly reduce duplication in its operations.
The arrangements are a reflection of Telstra's smarter approach to procurement to seek out partnerships with suppliers who share with the rewards and the risks of Telstra's transformation.
