Telstra receives global award for billing innovation
Telstra has been awarded a Comverse Innovation Award for Billing at the annual Comverse User Forum in Porto, Portugal. The award, accepted by Telstra’s CEO Sol Trujillo, recognises the innovative approach that Telstra has taken to transform our billing system environment and create a new customer experience.
One of 10 finalists in the billing category, Telstra was nominated for its large scale program to migrate its consumer legacy billing systems to one converged platform using the Comverse Billing Solution.
Transforming the billing platform will support Telstra to deliver real benefits to our customers to make their life easier, such as a single bill for all their services and a greater range of billing and payment options.
Commenting on the Billing Innovation Award, Sol said our IT transformation is a key enabler for Telstra to deliver a better service for our customers which ultimately will include a much simpler billing experience.

The Comverse Innovation Awards honor service providers who have creatively implemented a Comverse solution to achieve significant business results. The awards program is organised in association with market research firm Yankee Group, in addition to other prominent figures in the telecom industry.
