The way they were - Sensis Search and Yahoo! oneSearch™

Launched in 2004 the Sensis Search mobile application is a specialist search engine accessible on all internet-enabled mobile devices. Sensis Search provides access to a range of content via the mobile internet and has shown remarkable growth since the start of 2008, with a 77 per cent increase in visits to Sensis Search. This clearly demonstrates a growing trend in consumers accessing information on their mobile phones.

Yahoo! oneSearch™ is specifically designed for mobile devices delivering results directly on one mobile page, removing the need for consumers to navigate through a sea of links to find the information they want. Launched in 2007, Yahoo! oneSearch™ gives consumers access to news, financial information, weather conditions, Flickr photos, information from Yahoo! Answers? around the globe, images from the web, as well as online and mobile web sites.

In addition to search results from the internet and the mobile web, Sensis Search lets people search for a range of things including images, Wikipedia and news articles, and stock quotes.
