Jon Faine

Popular ABC radio presenter Jon Faine and his son Jack are taking off on a 6 month road trip taking them from Melbourne to London.

The Father and Son team plan to drive as much of the journey as possible in their own car - starting from their front gate in Melbourne - driving across Malaysia, China, Turkey, France - and ending their adventure at London's Piccadilly Circus for New Years Eve.

Jon will be using a BigPond Wireless Aircard during his travels, to keep in constant communication with his family and listeners back home in Australia.

Jon will join nowwearetalking as a guest blogger and provide regular updates about the road trip.

nowwearetalking's Martin Barr caught up with Jon at his ABC radio studio to talk about the swag of gadgets and technologies they will be using to navigate and document their road trip.

Running time: 3 min. 33sec.
