Just some thoughts on telecommunications in Australia; Telstra (PMG, Telecom etc) has looked after Australia since the beginning, and has done it well. I like to see strong Australian companies competing on the world stage. Telstra appears to have more than enough ability. Why does the government/ACCC try to nobble the company??? Telstra is competing against powerful multinationals, I wonder if they influence the government's thoughts? Thank God that the Telstra management don't get offended by Australian media and commentators. I'm wondering if these people deserve the immense benefits they are receiving from the management initiatives. Why do some Australians hate Telstra with a vengeance? Why do we read deliberate lies about Telstra in the media? I wonder if Australians realise that Telstra shareholders are paying for the communications upgrade that they use every day? Are we long term Telstra shareholders ever going to get our money back?
